Lease Water

EdwardsWaterResources.com charges an 8% fee for lease transactions and that fee is based on the total transaction price of all water rights leased. All fees due EdwardsWaterResources.com are paid from the OWNER of the Water Rights (i.e. the party leasing the water TO the tenant fanner or temporary user, unless otherwise specifically negotiated) and are due within 30-days of the receipt of the lease proceeds. Owner will warrant that there are no liens on the water rights at the time of lease or could face appropriate legal consequences.

Example: Let's say you own 200 Acre Feet of 'Unrestricted' Edwards Aquifer water rights and want to lease them to a user for a period of three (3) years. We then go out on our network and database and attempt to find you the "best bid" that fits these needs. We then present it to you for your approval. In this example, let's say we were able to find a suitable 'tenant' for the 200 acre feet at a rate of $60 per acre feet per year.

The GROSS amount due to the Owner would be the rate x number of Acre Feet x Years or $60.00 x 200 x 3 years = $36,000
EdwardsWaterResources.com's fee is 8% of the total consideration or: $36,000 x .08 = $2,880
Therefore the NET due to the Owner (in this lease example) would be: $36,000 - $2,880 = $33,120

If no offers to lease your water from typical Agricultural or other users, then we can also offer / recommend other 'Lease' programs offered by Agencies, like VISPO or ASR.
